Recipe Corner: Warm Up Your Home With Capirotada (Mexican Bread Pudding)

As the Chicago weather turns colder, all we really want to do is stay cozy in our homes while enjoying some of our favorite warm treats. That’s why we’re featuring a Capirotada recipe that’s fresh from our upcoming January 2022 newsletter, which you can subscribe to right here.

Capirotada is a dish that normally accompanies certain holidays, and is particularly popular during Lent. We’re planning on enjoying our capirotada recipe on a chilly day that just calls for the oven to be turned on. We know we’ll be enjoying the sweet smell that comes from the cinnamon, brown sugar, and cloves as it circulates through our homes. An interesting addition to this recipe is the cheese, but don’t knock it until you try it! The cheese actually perfectly complements and balances all the other flavors in the bread pudding.

We hope that you and your family try and enjoy this capirotada recipe. If you do end up making it, then please send us a picture of your tasty bread pudding to 630-460-7953 so can feature the awesome, and delicious, end result!

We have provided a recipe graphic and printable version below for your convenience. Take your pick!

About Gerardo Zavala, Realtor

Gerardo Zavala, Realtor

There is a true passion for connecting people with real estate that makes me fall in love with my career over and over again. While my title says, REALTOR® I think I am much more than that. For example, I am present and actively listening to my client’s needs, on the spot when things are urgent, and by your side to say “congratulations.” Most of my clients will say that I am a connection away from support no matter the situation, day, or time. In my opinion, customer service, educating the client on progress and next steps, and overall satisfaction are my top priorities. How can I help you?
