What is as-is?

What is As-Is?

What is As-Is?

The word “as-is” in real estate means that a buyer is purchasing a property in its current state and condition. The seller is disclosing they will not negotiate any repairs, issues, or future credits. If you are a buyer, do not make the mistake to think since the property is sold as-is that you cannot perform a personal home inspection to determine how serious any issues maybe.

Key Takeaways

-Basically means the seller will not make any corrections/changes.

-A buyer can still do a home inspection even if the property is sold as As-Is.

-Also means “what you see is what you get”.

About Gerardo Zavala, Realtor

There is a true passion for connecting people with real estate that makes me fall in love with my career over and over again. While my title says, REALTOR® I think I am much more than that. For example, I am present and actively listening to my clients needs, on the spot when things are urgent, and by your side to say “congratulations.” Most of my clients will say that I am a connection away from support no matter the situation, day or time. In my opinion, customer service, educating the client on progress and next steps, and overall satisfaction are my top priorities. How can I help you?
